At Student Painters, our number one concern is ensuring the safety of your family and our employees. Our Employee Safety Training Program is structured around state guidelines for jobsite safety and is mandatory for all managers, crew, and executive staff.
The topics covered in our Employee Safety Training Program include fall protection and ladder safety, lead paint safety, and general jobsite safety.
If your home was built prior to 1978, it is possible that it contains lead paint. As of April 22, 2010, the EPA now requires that any renovation work performed on homes built prior to 1978 MUST be done by an EPA Lead Safe Certified Firm. Student Painters has that Certification and will take all of the necessary steps to protect your family from the lead hazards created by repainting your home. Your Student Manager will provide you with a brochure detailing the risks of lead paint in the home. You can also find more information at http://www.epa.gov/lead/.
Student Painters Lead Policy is compliant with the WISHA lead code, and has been created to ensure the safety of your family, pets, and our employees. If you suspect that the exterior of your home contains lead paint, your Student Manager can take a sample to NVL Laboratories for testing. If the lead content is found to be greater than 1%, the Student Manager and crew will take extra precautions to maintain a safe environment.
