The Process

The Paint Job

Our Student Managers and their crews complete an in-depth training program where they learn and practice our proven House Painting System. Our process begins with your home being inspected in detail by our Student Manager. The estimate they provide you with is customized to your home's specific needs. The Manager will walk you through the bid to ensure all of your questions are answered.

After collecting a 20% deposit, the Manager will schedule a approximate time slot for your job. As the start date approaches, the Manager will call and reconfirm that the schedule works for you. About one week before the job begins; the Manager will thoroughly clean the exterior areas that are being painted, as specified in your customized bid.

Before the job begins, the Manager will set up a time with you to discuss color options. Once you have made a selection, the Manager will apply the paint to a small area of your home. If you like it, great! If not, you can try another color. Once you are pleased with the color, your selection is noted on the job contract and initialed so there is no confusion and you then have a permanent record of your color information.

The job begins with prep work; scraping, sanding, priming, and caulking will be done as necessary and as specified in your bid. At the end of each work day, the crew will complete a jobsite cleanup.

If your home is being painted with sprayer application, the windows, doors, and other areas will be covered as needed. If the paint is being applied by hand, masking is not needed.

After the trim work is finished, the crew will complete a detailed inspection checking for touch-ups. When the Manager thinks the job is complete, including a thorough clean-up, they will do a walk-around with you to confirm that you are satisfied.

The job is not finished until you sign-off that the work has been completed to your satisfaction.  At that time we collect the balance due and you enjoy your beautifully painted and protected home.
