Our Managers come to us for the experience. Above all else the Branch Manager is hungry for personal growth, challenge, and practical training. The challenge of the first year is in the diversity of new skills to be learned and applied. The second year is not only an opportunity to consolidate the experiences of the first into a larger and more profitable business but to expand a Manager's responsibilities into higher level realms of Management. Our second and third year Managers can apply for the following positions that will expand their experiences into some of the larger-scale issues of modern business:

Human Resources Assistant: Each year one of our returning Managers gets selected to help us in the process of choosing next year's Rookie Managers. This H.R. Assistant earns practical experience in selecting candidates for positions requiring high levels of responsibility and commitment.

New Hire Coach: Each new Manager needs a basic orientation on the contents of our Operations Manual and the basic systems of our program. One or two Returning Managers are selected to help in this basic Orientation and Training process.

Executive Positions :

Field Advisor: Our Field Advisors are our key resource in maintaining our high standards of safety, quality, and productivity on the job-sites. The Field Advisor spends the entire summer on the job-sites with the Branch Managers helping them with the technical aspects of painting. It is a position of high responsibility that entails knowledge and implementation of OSHA safety standards, and a strong understanding of painting products and techniques. Applicants for this position must have completed two years as a Branch Manager.

Regional Manager: After two years as a Branch Manager, students are eligible to apply for a Regional Manager position. An RM operates their own Branch while also managing two to three Rookie Branch Managers. This position couples the high income of a Returning Manager with the new experience and skill set of coaching Rookie Managers. It's a great opportunity for star Managers to pass on their knowledge to the new generation.

District Manager: The most responsible position available to students is the District Manager (DM) position. The DM learns the full suite of skills necessary to grow and operate a $400,000 Student Painters business. Applicants for this position must have completed at least two years as a Branch Manager.
