“I started working for Studentpainters.net my freshman year at the University of Washington. My first summer I was Rookie Manager of the Year and ran an $83,000 business; it changed my life completely. I went from being an average student who was unaware of my capabilities to a smart, savvy businessman who was gaining the confidence and knowledge to one day become a successful entrepreneur. After my first summer with the program I felt I finally had tangible proof of my real potential. I took this confidence into my second summer with Student Painters and again found success. My third year I was promoted to an executive training position in which I helped train all of the new managers coming into the program. The experience of watching and contributing to a real change in other people's lives and futures was the most emotionally rewarding work I have done yet. From that point on I knew that positively touching college student's lives and providing them with real opportunities and dreams is what I wanted to do. My last year in college and the first year after I graduated I worked as a District Manager. After two very successful years as a DM, Student Painters gave me the opportunity to become a true entrepreneur and realize my own dreams. In 2004/05, I became Co-owner and President of Studentpainters.net, California.
